The Organization
Family Services is a non-profit, social service organization in Lawrence, MA committed to helping children and families build a better life by developing inner strengths, teaching life skills, and providing vital community resources. Rooted in compassion and respect for the diverse population we serve, they help more than 3,000 people in the Merrimack Valley each year through over 20 programs focused on youth development, parent education and emotional health. All of these services are infused with a sense of hope and possibility and produce tangible and sustainable change, enabling individuals to thrive within their family, community, workplace and school.
The Need
To achieve their mission and enable children and families to reach their full potential, Family Service must often first help its clients meet basic human needs. In many cases, the people they serve are struggling with multiple disadvantages and the path to education, job security, or emotional health is inhibited by more fundamental needs.
How Support Can Help
Support will allow Family Service to provide its clients with assistance to secure critical needs items such as infant formula, diapers, winter coats, food, fuel assistance and transportation to school, doctors visits, interviews and jobs.
